Tim Smith
Development Associate
Tim decided to stop being a student at John Carroll for his first radio job at Cleveland's WIXY 1260 Top 40 station. After receiving his M.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University Tim began a career in marketing and communications in higher education, health care, politics, manufacturing and finally got back to broadcasting at WBGU-PBS in Bowling Green, OH, went on to Cleveland's public broadcasting stations, Purdue public radio, Notre Dame and joined WKSU in November of 2005. Tim enjoys being back in Northeast Ohio and presenting WKSU's great mission and audience to businesses and organizations as part of the station's development department. In addition to loving classical and folk music, he is - as his degrees would indicate - a news hound. A fast car enthusiast, Tim lives in a quiet neighborhood in Kent where he and his two boxer dogs love to walk no matter the weather. Tim's writing a novel which he hopes to finish soon and enjoys movies and reading.
