Kerry Kurchak
Assistant General Manager
Kerry joined WKSU in August 2008 and is the Assistant General Manager. After relocating to Akron in 2001, WKSU quickly became (and remains) her favorite radio station and the station’s folk programming became her music of choice. It was natural for her to begin volunteering at WKSU during fund drives and special station-sponsored events, and she has retained her enthusiasm for the station ever since. Kerry graduated from Kent State Ashtabula in 2000 with an associate degree in Technical Study. She was a Rotary International Exchange student to Ecuador and has traveled to Costa Rica, Spain, Mexico, and other exotic locations. She, her husband Rocky, and their son Andrew live in Akron with their five cats. She also has two daughters, Franchesca and Amber and six grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, camping, cooking, reading, and antique shopping.
