Jasen SokolNewsJasen Sokol is the producer of the local segments of Morning Edition on WKSU. He also holds the Walton D. Clarke Fellowship, which is awarded annually to a graduate student in the Kent State University School of Journalism and Mass Communication in honor of the founder of WKSU.
Jasen graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a BA in political science. He got his start in radio at BW working for the campus radio station WBWC. There he worked in various roles including morning show host and news director.
In addition to his work on Morning Edition, Jasen is the sound board operator for the Regina Brett Show. He also works for student-run television station TV2 KSU where he is the anchor of a public affairs show called Portage Pulse. Jasen also serves as a weatherman and high school sports reporter.
