WKSU Student Involvement

Joanna Kamvouris

Joanna Kamvouris

Joanna Kamvouris is a junior magazine journalism student at Kent State University. Her passion for journalism stemmed from her involvement as editor of the Lantern newspaper at Revere High School. During her time at Kent State University, Joanna has written for the Daily Kent Stater and The Burr magazine. She is currently an intern at WKSU, working under Ann VerWiebe to produce content for WKSU's website. Prior to her work at WKSU, Joanna spent two summers as a marketing and communications intern at State and Federal Communications, Inc. in Akron. Her experience in her previous internship prepared her for the work responsibilities at WKSU, and she enjoys the work atmosphere of the station. Her time interning at WKSU will continue to challenge and teach her as she works toward her bachelor's degree in journalism.
