On Monday, March 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., WKSU joins with the Cleveland Film Society to give Akron movie lovers an exclusive preview of this year's collection of outstanding American and independent cinema offered during the 37th Cleveland International Film Festival. One of WKSU's most anticipated annual events, the party begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Akron Civic Theatre in downtown Akron (veterans know that the early bird gets the best spot in the hors d'oeurves line). This free event features snacks, a cash bar, and a variety of short subjects - plus, copies of the program guide so you can make your festival list. There will be a presentation on the Civic's big screen featuring the selected shorts and clips from 2013 CIFF films. Everyone in attendance can enter drawings for exciting prizes - including a pair of much-coveted All-Access passes for the 37th CIFF!
The theatre is located at 182 S. Main St. and there is plenty of city parking nearby, which is free after 6 p.m. The 37th CIFF returns to Tower City Cinemas at Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland from April 3-14. For more on the festival, visit www.ClevelandFilm.org.
Please RSVP below if you plan on attending the free preview party. You are not required to print a voucher, but your response helps to create a headcount for the party.
