by WKSU's KEVIN NIEDERMIER

Ohio Senator George Voinovich says the United States needs to start gradually withdrawing its troops from Iraq. Voinovich has sent a letter to President Bush expressing concern over the war's progress. The Senator is the second Republican this week to call for a troop withdrawal. On Monday, the top Republican Senator on the Foreign Relations Committee, Richard Lugar of Indiana also urged the President to start downsizing. They join four other G-O-P Senators calling for some kind of withdrawal. WKSU's Kevin Niedermier reports on the possible impact of Republican calls for troop reductions.
