Doctor Campaigns for Defibrilators in Schools

An Akron cardiologist is trying to get cardiac defibrilators installed in every school in the state.

WKSU's Tom Parkinson reports
Reporter
Tom Parkinson
Dr. Terry Gordon of Akron is on a mission. Six years ago, after a high school football player collapsed and died of cardiac arrest during a game, Dr. Gordon took on the cause of placing Automated External Defibrilators, or AEDs, in every high school and middle school in Ohio. At the state capitol on November 28th, Dr. Gordon will announce that initiative has been successful and will declare his plan to take the project nationwide. He spoke with WKSU's Tom Parkinson.
