Conversation with State Representative John Otterman.
Otterman is replacing his father as representative for Akron's 45th District.
Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Ohio's newest state representative is Democrat John Otterman.
If the name sounds familiar, that's because his father, Robert Otterman, represented Akron in the same house seat for 8 years.
John Otterman, an Akron City Council member since 1992, was appointed to the District 45 seat after his father stepped down last month to work on senior programs for Summit County.
Mr. Otterman was sworn in last week to take his father's place in the state house. He spoke with WKSU's Tom Parkinson.
