Ohio Supreme Court sets execution date for Richard Cooey
Former Akron man has challenged the state's lethal injection process

Listener Comments:

"THE BIBLE SAYS AN EYE FOR AN EYE!!!!"

Actually, Christ said that "an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind." I'm sorry for what happened to your son and that it filled you with such hate and pain. God can heal it. I'm not judging you, I haven't been through what you have, but it saddens me to see that the killer took your son and left you suffering like this.

Too fat, huh? Just butcher him like a piggy and make him squeal until he chokes on his own blood and bile and grind his remains into Cooey sausage for the other death row inmates to snack on.

Posted by: Dave (Arlington, VA) on September 12, 2008 12:12AM
Throw some pain killers in with the lethal injection juice, and find a vein already. The guy is just being a whiney BITCH.

IF HE CAN'T DIE BY INJECTION THEN SLIT HIS THROAT FROM EAR TO EAR. SHOW THAT ASSHOLE NO REMORSE.PIECE OF SHIT KILL THAT RAPIST..

that fatboy gotta have a good vein somewheres.
If he don"t slaughter him like a fat pig he is.
I hate rapists.Put that fat piece of /.,. in population minimum security to see what happens to him..

This should not even be an issue. Tell this guy, if he's too fat to be executed without pain, he should go on a diet. Set a date for the execution, and stick to it. If he's really concerned, he'll lose the weight. This is just a ploy to get off the hook, like so many murderers and rapists do. They commit these crimes and then cry for a second chance. But there was no second chance for those two victims. No mercy showed to them.
I know someone who went to prison for killing his daughter's rapist. I didn't like the fact that he had killed him, but he asked me "If it was your daughter, what would you have done?" I really don't know how to answer that question. But if our justice system won't legally protect the innocent, how dare they send US to prison for defending ourselves or our families? The justice system failed my acquaintance, and like it or not, his family is safer because he did that. What do you do when the system fails? Live in fear? Or take the law into your own hands? Don't be surprised if you see people going to prison themselves to defend those they love.
