Actually, Christ said that "an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind." I'm sorry for what happened to your son and that it filled you with such hate and pain. God can heal it. I'm not judging you, I haven't been through what you have, but it saddens me to see that the killer took your son and left you suffering like this.

I know someone who went to prison for killing his daughter's rapist. I didn't like the fact that he had killed him, but he asked me "If it was your daughter, what would you have done?" I really don't know how to answer that question. But if our justice system won't legally protect the innocent, how dare they send US to prison for defending ourselves or our families? The justice system failed my acquaintance, and like it or not, his family is safer because he did that. What do you do when the system fails? Live in fear? Or take the law into your own hands? Don't be surprised if you see people going to prison themselves to defend those they love.
