Sherwin-Williams has begun installing a new sign celebrating their nearly 150 years headquartered in Cleveland. The billboard will hang on the wall that once displayed an image of LeBron James.

The new NBA season starts Tuesday, and the season for the post-Lebron Cleveland Cavaliers begins Wednesday with the first game against the Boston Celtics.

Across from Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland, the new era has already begun on the side of a building. Until last summer, the Sherwin-Williams building was plastered with a ten-story image of Cavalier’s star LeBron James. But LeBron left for Miami and within days of that announcement, the old billboard came down.  Now, workers are covering the space with a new sign highlighting Sherwin-Williams’ pride in being headquartered in Cleveland for the last 144 years.

As the project got underway Tuesday, Trish Allen of Strongsville stopped to watch. She appreciates the sign of loyalty.

Sherwin- Williams suspended the installation shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday because of high winds. It expect to resume Wednesday, and the whole process is expected to take 12 hours.
