Crime and Courts Tuesday, January 15, 2013 More guilty pleas and sentences in Cuyahoga's corruption case Calabrese, Forlani and Peto -- three cases come together in an Akron judge's courtroom by WKSU's M.L. SCHULTZE |

 | | Anthony Calabrese III pleaded guilty to 18 corruption charges. |
In The Region: A Cleveland-area lawyer who helped push Cuyahoga County to buy the Ameritrust complex has pleaded guilty to 18 federal corruption charges.
Forty-year-old Anthony Calabrese III faces nine years in prison -- or more -- when he is sentenced in June.
Doing that sentencing will be U.S. District Judge Sarah Lioi.
And just a few hours before Calabrese admitted yesterday to racketeering, bribery, conspiracy and obstruction of justice, Lioi sentenced a member of the Cuyahoga County Port Authority board to nearly five years in prison on corruption charges.
Bob Peto had pleaded guilty last year to accepting entertainment, home repairs and car discounts in exchange for steering work the way of contractor Michael Forlani. Some of the charges against Calabrese also involve Forlani.
