In The Region: The Cleveland Orchestra is losing its general manager and gaining a new assistant conductor. Gary Ginstling is headed to the Indianapolis Symphony next month after 5 years at Severance Hall. This September, Brett Mitchell joins the orchestra as assistant conductor. He will also be the new director of the Cleveland Youth Orchestra. Mitchell was formerly with the Saginaw Bay Orchestra in Michigan and the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble. |
