The state auditor is looking into filing a restraining order against the largest online charter school district in Ohio, which is already facing a $60 million bill from the state for inflating its enrollment figures.

The state auditor is asking auditors from his office to review how the Ohio Department of Education handles disciplinary complaints. 

Auditor Dave Yost says an internal review showed more than half of the people identified in a 2012 Columbus City Schools data scrubbing scandal have not been disciplined by the state. He says that's unacceptable, given his office gave the Ohio Department of Education agency a list of 64 people Yost says should have been disciplined in some way.

An audit of a Southern Ohio correctional facility has found 11 directors and employees used conferences as a way to cover self-indulgent expenditures.

Auditor Dave Yost says the employees of the STAR Community Justice Center in Scioto County forged some transactions and spent more than $20,000 on out-of-state trips and bar tabs in 2013.
