The new-look Cavs are rejuvenated nearly one week after overhauling the roster. The Cavs have won back-to-back games since trading six players and adding four new ones. WKSU commentator Terry Pluto says the Cavs instantly improved once they unloaded veterans like Isaiah Thomas and Dwyane Wade.

The Cavs on Thursday completely changed their look with a stunning sequence of deals.

They traded six players:  Iman Shumpert, Channing Frye, Jae Crowder, Isaiah Thomas, Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose. They also traded two future draft picks in an effort to keep LeBron James and improve their chances of winning a championship this season. The Cavs added Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance, Jr., Rodney Hood and George Hill.

WKSU commentator Terry Pluto said the revamp was prompted by two major factors.

The Cavs will likely be making some changes ahead of tomorrow’s NBA trade deadline. The struggling team posted another embarrassing loss last night, 116-98 to the Orlando Magic. They also blew a 21-point lead in the game. But, the problems appear to go beyond what’s happening on the court. WKSU commentator Terry Pluto says most of the drama surrounding the Cavs centers on the relationship between its owner and its biggest star.

Cavs’ star LeBron James is on pace to hit a milestone this weekend. He’s closing in on becoming just the seventh player in NBA history to score 30,000 career points. But WKSU commentator Terry Pluto says scoring the most points has never been James' goal.
