Mark the nation's most patriotic holiday with music and flag waving. From Wooster and Canton to Cleveland, Kent and Akron, Northeast Ohio celebrates the Independence Day holiday with a variety of concerts featuring Classical, Jazz and Folk artists performing under exploding pyrotechnic displays. Most events are free and are suitable for all ages and may be especially appreciated by lovers of Sousa marches and Tchaikovsky's anthemic 1812 Overture.

The Akron Art Museum celebrates summer in the Garden with its popular after-work concert series, Downtown@Dusk.  The eight-week series brings a variety of musical acts and styles to an expanded stage. Enjoy the music Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with food from ACME Fresh Market Catering and beverages available for purchase from the museum cafe. WKSU is proud to provide concert emcees and to continue its role as media sponsor for Downtown@Dusk.

It's time to pack your film fest bag! The Cleveland International Film Festival takes up residence in Tower City Cinemas from March 29 through April 9. Now in its 41st year, the CIFF brings a wide-range of contemporary international, documentary and American Independent films to thousands of movie fans in Northeast Ohio.
