On March 31 and April 1, the 41st Cleveland International Film Festival brings the party south with two days of films in downtown Akron. Screenings begin on Friday at the Akron-Summit County Public Library with 'Burn the Ships,' a documentary about the Akron Racers, the longest tenured team in the National Pro Fastpitch League - the country's only women's professional softball organization.

Folk Alley presents three screenings of September 12th at the Cleveland International Film Festival. Folk Alley listeners can use the code "FOLK" to receive a $2 ticket discount for screenings on April 1 and April 3 at Tower City Cinemas in Cleveland and on April 2 at the Beachland Ballroom (this is a small venue and this screening will quickly sell out).

Now in its 41st year, the CIFF brings a wide-range of contemporary international, documentary and American Independent films to thousands of movie fans in Northeast Ohio.
